What to Expect on Your VisitThe Huble Homestead is located 40km north of Prince George, 6 km off highway 97 on Mitchell Road. Weather here can sometimes change quickly, so when you visit, it’s a good idea to bring a jacket, sunscreen, insect repellant and good shoes for walking. Our site is great place to bring the whole family, including your dog (but please remember to bring a leash and to pick up after your pet)! Visitors are welcome to bring picnic lunches to enjoy at the park or to purchase lunch at the General Store. The park is also a great place to fly a kite, and play lawn games such as croquet, badminton, and bocce ball. If these games are not out, please let our staff know that you wish to play, or feel free to play your own games in our open green spaces. The Huble Homestead is open 10:00-5:00 daily from the May to September long weekends, May 16-September 7, 2009. Every day we offer:

The Huble Homestead Historic Site is situated in the beautiful BC wilderness. This means that we share the area with bears, so during your visit we recommend that you keep an eye on your children and other members of your group at all times. If you see a bear while at the historic site, please notify an employee and move quietly indoors. Following safety guidelines, such as keeping your distance and not screaming or running if a bear is near, will help keep you, other visitors, and the bears safe. If you see bears on Mitchell Road on your way to Huble Homestead, remember to NEVER get out of your car to get closer to bear cubs. Food Service: Barbeque lunch is available at the park everyday during our normal operating season. All food purchases take place in the General Store. Our menu items include:
Parking: Though you may drive down to the lower parking lot to drop off guests who may have trouble walking, we please ask that all visitors park in the upper parking lot and walk down to the site. The lower parking lot is reserved for vehicles with wheelchair permits only. Phone Service: Cellular phone service is best in the upper parking lot, but often patchy or unavailable on the lower site.
