Admission to the site and all events is by suggested donation of $5 (adult), $3 (children & seniors), or $10 (family). Your donations help us provide affordable activities at events and maintain the historic site.

Huble Homestead is located 40 km north of Prince George, just off Highway 97 on Mitchell Road.

The hours of our events are the same as our operating hours, 10:00 to 5:00. We are open every day from May 16 to September 7, 2009.

Spring Fling - Sunday, May 23 & Monday, May 24
Join us on our opening weekend and help us kick off the start of the season! This event will feature heritage demonstrations, old fashioned games, musical entertainment, contests and more! Our friendly staff will be ready to show visitors the may pole dance, and on Monday be sure to take part in our special Victoria Day high tea.

Crib Tournament - Sunday, June 6
In a reworking of our annual Seniors’ Day event, this event will feature a cribbage tournament, tour, special lunch and entertainment. Transportation will be available for seniors and other citizens that have difficulty getting to Huble Homestead. Contact us to book your seat.

Antique Appraisal Bazaar - Saturday, June 13 & Sunday, June 14
Dust off those antiques you always wondered about and bring them out to Huble Homestead! We are pleased to announce that this Saturday/Sunday event will again feature antique appraisals by knowledgable appraiser Ted Pappas. Come find out the value of your own treasures, or relax and watch our knowledgable appraiser. Vendors will be on site selling items ranging from crafts, books and more! Appraisal tickets will be available for $10 each or $15 for two in the office in advance, or on site during the event.

Dominion Day - Thursday, July 1
Join our staff in celebrating Canada’s birthday in traditional Huble style! There will be lots of activities for families to partake in, from having a complimentary slice of birthday cake, taking part in pioneer demonsrations, and playing old-fashioned games! Join us on the holiday Thursday for music, entertainment, crafts and contests, all with a Canadian flair!

Dog Expo - Sunday, July 4
Our annual event for dog lovers is back, and is guaranteed to be as fun as always! Bring your four-legged friend out socialize with other dogs, and sign them up for the Parade of Breeds. This event will feature business and community booths, demonstrations, and vendors selling all kinds of doggie goods. Prizes will be awarded to the largest and smallest dogs, as well as those with the best trick and best costume. Your pooch will love it!

Kidz Carnival - Sunday, July 18
Bring the kiddies out for an event planned with them in mind! From old-fashioned carnival games, to musical entertainment, there’s something fun for each member of the family. Face painting, contests and prizes, pioneer games, and ice cream making are only a few of the activities guaranteed to make this family friendly event a ton of fun for everyone!

Barn Dance - Saturday, July 31
Help us kick off the Homestead Day weekend with an old-fashioned barn dance on a Saturday night! Bring your appetite and your dancing shoes out for this evening event, which will feature a delicious pioneer supper and some toe-tapping tunes. Tickets for this event must be purchased in advance, so be sure to buy early! This event is non-alcoholic and runs from 5:00-9:00.

Homestead Days - Sunday, August 1 & Sunday, August 2
Join us Sunday and Monday for our premier pioneer event, which is so jam-packed with activities that it requires two days of celebration! Pioneer demonstrations will be held throughout both days, ranging from baking to ice cream making. Place a bid on a picnic basket during our boxed lunch social, let your competitive side show in our jell-o and pie eating contests, or show off your strength in our Strongest Man competition. Old-fashioned games, crafts for kids, and musical entertainment will round out the event, where good times will be had by all!

Pioneer Kids Day Camp - Saturday, August 21
Our successful Pioneer Day Camp is back for another year! Targeted at children aged 7-10, day camp participants will learn about the lives of pioneer children through hands on activities, chores and old-fashioned games. Site tours will still be available to our regular visitors. Only 20 spaces are available, so book your child's space early. Contact us to register.

Summer Harvest - Sunday, September 5 & Monday, September 6
Join us for our last big event of the summer! All visitors receive 10% off their store purchases, 20% off for members, making this the perfect weekend to pick up that item you’ve had your eye on all summer long! A special lunch menu will be featured on both days, and vegetables from the Huble garden will be available for sale. With heritage cooking demonstrations taking place throughout the day, and plenty of pioneer activities for the kids to take part in, this two-day event is the perfect way to ease into fall.

Thanksgiving - Monday, October 11
Our old-fashioned Thanksgiving celebration, always a family favourite, features harvest activities like pumpkin carving, scarecrow making, and apple bobbing! Kids can create and take home pioneer crafts, and our staff will make sure the General Store has plenty of homemade apple cider to keep you warm! Take advantage of our special Thanksgiving menu, and have a slice of delicious pumpkin pie for dessert! This will be your last chance to shop in your General Store, making this a great opportunity to start your Christmas shopping!

Halloween Spooktacular - Saturday, October 23
Join us for the scariest Halloween location in town! Take our spooky haunted house tour, go trick or treating, carve a pumpkin and roast some marshmallows! There will be lots of activities for both young and old; however, parental supervision is required for young children. Admission by donation, tours $3 per person. (5:00-9:00)
